The Highland Builders Process

1. Meet with me, Kevin, to evaluate properties and discuss details about the area where you want to build. If you already have land chosen, that’s great – we can get started discussing how to get the most out of it!
2. Next, I’ll help you consolidate your ideas and establish your desired specifications. We’ll work together to make your ideas a reality based on the budget you want to spend.
3. We’ll work with an experienced home designer or architect – either one chosen by you or one of our proven partners – to have your final plans drawn up to your specifications.
4. The next step is to work with design professionals to make final selections for materials, finishes and your other customized features. We utilize great showrooms, plus a team of design professionals and product experts to help you navigate this part of the process.
5. Once we have plans and selections, we’ll prepare your contract documents and review the updated cost estimates. If you need it, we’ll help you to find the best financing options.
6. When we have an agreement and the necessary permits, construction will begin on your new home. During this period, you have complete access to the contractors working on your home, and of course to us at Highland Builders.
7. At completion, I’ll meet with you for a new home orientation – we’ll walk through the home and make sure everything looks and feels just the way you hoped.
8. After the walk-through, any needed warranty work that’s needed will be done, which you’ll be able to supervise to make sure it’s completed satisfactorily.
9. Next, you move into your brand new, custom-built home. You can move in stress-free, with the knowledge that we’re here to provide assistance long after your warranty period passes.
